Cozy & Couture: Quilted Coat Class
| Materials Included: | Instructor will provide 2 coats to try on to determine which size you are comfortable with. Coat pattern in size large and extra large that you will trace onto the brown craft paper which you can keep. This is a 2 part class. NO SEWING MACHINE is required for the first class. |
| Requirements: | A quilt or quilted piece that is at least 60" x90", 86"x 86" or similar (this is large enough for a generous size large coat, any coat larger or longer will require a larger piece) If you would like Silver State to quilt a piece of fabric for this project let us know before June 1st. Fat Quarter - matching or contrast fabric for pocket or collar lining. If binding is needed more fabric will be required. Matching or neutral thread. Sewing Machine with overlock stitches or a serger is very helpful in speeding up the sewing but a regular straight stitch machine will work. Regular sewing supplies which should include long pins, clips, pattern "weights" ( anything that will hold the pattern down, ie: clean rock, hand weights), straight ruler, cutting mat, rotary cutter, scissors, tape measure, pencil or pen and tape. 1 roll of brown craft paper or pattern tracing material. |
