A quote will be provided once we discuss your thread selection and quilting pattern.
Choosing Your Quilting Design
You are welcome to bring inspiration ideas, favorite motifs, or a general quilting style you prefer (modern, traditional, whimsical, geometric, etc.). When your quilt reaches the top of our queue:
-
You will receive a message from the Silver State Stitch Shop text number
-
We will send thread color suggestions and a selection of pattern options
-
As we quilt more of your projects, we will learn your preferences and curate recommendations specifically to your taste
Backing & Batting Requirements
To ensure your quilt can be loaded properly on the longarm frame:
Your backing and batting must be 5" larger on all sides
This allows us to secure your quilt safely to the longarm and ensures clean, consistent results.
Can I bring my own batting?
Yes — you are welcome to supply your own batting.
We also carry high-quality batting options on the roll, including:
-
Hobbs 80/20 Cotton/Poly
-
Hobbs 100% Cotton with Scrim
-
Hobbs 100% Wool
If you need help choosing, we are happy to guide you.
Preparing Your Quilt Top
To get the best results, please prepare your quilt with the following steps:
Press your quilt top and backing
A well-pressed quilt reduces potential distortion during quilting.
Square top & backing
Uneven edges may cause issues during loading and quilting.
Clip loose threads
Stray dark threads can shadow under lighter fabrics.
A "victory lap" is appreciated
A stay-stitch ?" around the perimeter of your quilt is not required,
but it helps secure seams—especially where they reach the edge of the quilt top.
Quilt Agreement (Annual Form)
Each year, we require a signed Quilt Agreement that outlines policies, expectations, and drop-off guidelines. This ensures clarity for both you and our longarm team before quilting begins.
Turnaround Time
Turnaround varies depending on the time of year and current demand.
You may message us anytime for an estimated timeframe before dropping off your project.
Discount Programs
Most of our Block of the Month programs include a discount on edge-to-edge quilting when the quilt is finished at the end of the subscription.
